Megan believes in prioritizing the relationship between client and therapist in order to establish a safe environment to build trust. One of the strongest indicators of success in therapy is a good fit between the client and their therapist.

Clients are not identical, which is why Megan works to develop a plan that will meet their needs best! Her style is collaborative, and strengths based. Megan hopes to empower her clients to see their stuck point, establish goals specific to their needs, and help them build the life they want.

Megan is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Megan is also trained in various other approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.

Katie uses a whole-person

approach with her clients.  She incorporates compassion, collaboration, and even a bit of humor to help them move through challenging situations and feelings.

While therapy provides a unique opportunity to better understand yourself, it is a vulnerable process that can also bring up difficult emotions like worry, anxiety, and shame. These emotions are normal to experience as one begins therapy, and Katie knows that working together can help to resolve them, and feels very strongly about the importance of finding a clinician you connect with in order to build a trusting, supportive therapeutic relationship.

Katie incorporates CBT and ACT practices in order to better help clients develop new ways of coping. She also specializes in mood concerns, anxiety, relational issues, and trauma.

"Success as a therapist is not found in doing something for the client, but rather in being someone for the client."
